Terms of use

Version dated 20 September 2026 — 1.4.0.

These terms apply to the venue search and introduction service offered by CannesVenue. The conditions of any hire or paid service are set out in a separate contract.

1. Publisher and scope

CannesVenue is operated by the publisher identified in the legal notice. These terms govern browsing the catalogue, information enquiries and venue submissions made through the website’s forms.

The user must have the legal capacity to submit their project or be authorised to act for the person or organisation concerned. Browsing the catalogue and sending an enquiry do not require an account. CannesVenue may invite a person authorised to represent a venue to open a private host account; submitting a venue proposal does not automatically create this access.

2. Nature of the service and points of contact

CannesVenue helps users find event venues and prepares introductions. Enquiries are received by CannesVenue. After reviewing them, the team may share the information needed to assess the project with the venue’s authorised representative, including through their host account. The form on a listing identifies the venue requested; it is not a direct messaging service to its owner.

The owner, operator or provider able to supply a venue or service will be identified in the corresponding offer. CannesVenue may bind a third party on that party’s behalf only where an appropriate mandate authorises it to do so. Inclusion in the catalogue alone does not establish a partnership or mandate.

3. Listing information and images

Listings may be based on publicly available information or details supplied by a venue representative. Sources and verification dates are shown where available. Capacities, facilities, access, prices and private hire options must be confirmed for each event’s dates and format.

Journey times and distances are indicative and may vary with access, traffic or restrictions. Atmosphere illustrations are labelled as such and do not depict the actual venue. Photographs carry credits and conditions of use; their inclusion does not guarantee the venue’s current condition.

4. Searches and result ordering

Results depend on the selected filters: destination, venue type, event format, capacity, indoor or outdoor space, stated budget or map area. An undocumented criterion may cause a listing to be excluded from a filtered search.

Among matching listings, venues marked as featured by the publisher appear first. Each group is sorted alphabetically by name. The homepage includes the first Cannes venues from this same ordering. This is not a ranking by customer reviews, distance, guaranteed quality or real-time availability. Any paid promotion must be identified as such.

5. Submitting and following up an enquiry

Users must supply accurate information relevant to processing their plans. Submitting a form and receiving confirmation of receipt do not reserve a date, accept a quote or create a contract for venue hire or services.

CannesVenue may request further details or suggest other suitable venues. Availability and response times are not guaranteed by an automated message. Users should not incur costs based solely on a listing or confirmation of receipt.

Project follow-up may continue by email and in a private conversation with the CannesVenue team. The access link to this conversation is personal and confidential: anyone who holds it can access the exchanges it opens. Do not publish it or forward it to a third party; contact CannesVenue if it is lost or disclosed.

Manual replies are sent on the action of an authorised person. Artificial intelligence may help prepare drafts, but sending them always requires administrator approval, including after the text has been edited. No generated reply is sent automatically. Exchanges do not constitute a booking and do not replace an accepted quote or contract.

6. Subsequent offers and contracts

Any binding offer must specify the contracting provider, the service, dates, agreed capacities, included and excluded services, price, applicable taxes, payment arrangements, any guarantees and the conditions for changes or cancellation.

A contract is formed in accordance with the arrangements expressly agreed by the parties concerned. These terms of use do not replace that contract, its specific terms or mandatory pre-contractual information.

7. Prices and CannesVenue’s remuneration

Browsing the catalogue and submitting a form do not trigger any payment on the website. An indicative price shown in a listing is not a firm offer and must be confirmed together with its scope and taxes.

CannesVenue may be remunerated through commission on a transaction concluded as a result of its involvement, or through a separate search or support service. The amount or rate, calculation basis, paying party, taxes and due date must be agreed in writing before any paid commitment. No percentage or service charge is accepted merely by submitting a venue or event enquiry.

8. Payment, changes, cancellation and withdrawal

The website provides no online payment or booking facility. It does not collect security deposits or hold funds on behalf of venues. Any subsequent payments are governed by the arrangements agreed in later contracts.

Postponement, cancellation and refund conditions are those agreed before the contract is concluded, subject to applicable mandatory rules. These terms of use impose no minimum advance payment, automatic cancellation charge or blanket refusal of refunds.

Where a user acts as a consumer, the existence of a right of withdrawal, conditions for any early start to the service and statutory exceptions must be considered for the relevant contract. An exception applying to a service on a specific date cannot automatically be extended to every service.

9. Venue submissions and content permissions

The submitter must be the owner, operator or someone authorised to represent the venue. They must supply accurate information and hold the necessary rights and permissions for the text, photographs and other content submitted, including permission from recognisable individuals where required.

By submitting this content for a listing, the submitter grants CannesVenue non-exclusive permission to use it to assess the submission, present the venue on the website, adapt image formats and translate the text without distorting its meaning. This permission is limited to the period during which the venue is published and the operations required to prepare or remove the listing; worldwide access to the pages results from their publication on the internet. This permission transfers no ownership and does not grant general permission to use the submitter’s likeness or name in separate advertising campaigns. The submitter may request withdrawal of permission for future uses; enquiries and materials that still need to be retained are handled in accordance with the privacy policy and applicable rules.

Submissions require approval before publication. CannesVenue may request clarification, edit the presentation or reject insufficient, inaccurate or unauthorised content. Submitting a venue is neither a general mandate to represent it nor an agreement on commission.

The host account allows hosts to view the venues assigned to their account and suggest changes. These suggestions remain subject to CannesVenue’s approval before appearing in the catalogue. Granting access does not certify the venue’s information, grant general authority to act on its behalf or establish an agreement on remuneration.

10. Owner and representative profiles

A name, role and personal introduction are displayed as the venue contact only after the person concerned has consented and the listing has been approved. The contact’s email address, phone number and internal notes are not published in this profile.

The person may request correction or removal of their public introduction by contacting the publisher. Removal does not necessarily delete information that must be retained to handle an ongoing enquiry or meet an applicable obligation. Profiles without an identified person remain generic.

Hosts must protect their login details, use their access only for venues they are authorised to represent, and notify CannesVenue if they lose access, suspect unauthorised use or are no longer authorised to represent a venue. CannesVenue may suspend access when it is no longer justified or to address a security incident, without altering rights arising under a separate contract.

The enquiries shown in a host account have been selected and limited by CannesVenue for the venue concerned. They may only be used to assess and follow up on those projects; they must not be reused for marketing without an appropriate legal basis. A shared enquiry does not constitute a booking, confirmed availability or a promise of a response.

Depending on the service settings, follow-up notifications may be emailed to the host account’s address when an enquiry is shared with it. These notifications may be grouped together. Sending them depends on the email service and scheduled tasks operating correctly; their absence does not mean that no enquiry is available in the host account. They constitute neither a booking nor confirmation of availability.

11. Reviews and testimonials

The current catalogue publishes no customer reviews or user ratings. Any presentation previews in the administration area are private demonstrations, clearly labelled and absent from public listings.

If a review system is introduced later, its collection, checking, moderation and display procedures must be specified before it goes live. No demonstration review may be presented as an account of a real experience.

12. Updating, correcting and removing a listing

An operator, rights holder or person concerned may report an error, unauthorised use or unlawful content using the publisher’s contact details in the legal notice. The report should identify the relevant URL, the issue and information enabling it to be assessed.

CannesVenue reviews requests and may ask for supporting evidence, correct a listing, suspend media or remove content. Changes relating to a venue submission are not published automatically. An informational listing may be retained where its publication remains justified and respects applicable rights.

13. Website use and intellectual property

Forms must not be used to impersonate anyone, distribute misleading information, send unsolicited advertising messages or submit content that infringes others’ rights. Attempts to gain unauthorised access and actions that disrupt the service are prohibited.

CannesVenue’s own text, presentation and elements are protected under applicable rights. Third-party trademarks, venue names and media remain subject to their respective rights. The licences stated in photo credits must be respected; an image being available online does not constitute permission to reuse it.

14. Personal data and external services

The purposes, recipients and methods of data processing, together with individuals’ rights, are described in the privacy policy. Acceptance of these terms does not constitute consent to marketing communications or advertising reuse of a portrait.

Links to venue websites, information sources and mapping services lead to separate services. Their own terms apply to their use. No link should be interpreted as a guarantee of availability or a commitment by the service operator to the user.

15. Service availability and liability

CannesVenue may temporarily interrupt the website for maintenance or due to an incident. It remains responsible for its own commitments and fault as provided by applicable law. Informational content does not replace verification of the event’s essential requirements with the contracting provider.

Each provider is responsible for the obligations relating to its own service, including those concerning welcoming guests and public safety. No provision of these terms removes any mandatory right of the user or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Neither publishing a venue nor opening a host account activates insurance cover. Before the event, each party must check with their insurer that the cover is appropriate for their role, the activities and the periods planned, as well as the applicable exclusions, limits and excesses. Any security deposit agreed in the contract does not replace this cover.

16. Complaints and dispute resolution

For a complaint about the CannesVenue service, contact the publisher using the details in the legal notice, identifying the relevant enquiry or listing. The parties may seek an amicable solution without losing their rights to pursue other remedies.

Where a contract with a consumer falls within the scope of consumer mediation, the details of the mediator actually appointed must be provided, including for a contract concluded outside the website. Following a prior written complaint that remains unresolved, the consumer may use that mediator free of charge under the applicable conditions. This process is optional and does not remove the right to seek remedies before the competent court.

17. Applicable law, languages and changes to these terms

These terms are governed by French law, subject to any applicable mandatory consumer protection provisions. Court jurisdiction is determined by the applicable rules; no exclusive jurisdiction in Cannes is imposed on consumers.

These terms are available in French and English. The French version serves as the reference, without prejudice to mandatory rules concerning information and users’ rights.

The version date appears at the top of the page. Changes to the service may lead to future amendments to these terms. Amendments do not retroactively alter commitments already made. The version accepted when submitting a form and the date of that acceptance are recorded with the enquiry.
